【Japan&Thailand Golf Festival 2019】3rd H.I S. Golf Cup in Bangkok ~Bangpakong Riverside Country Club~

The Japan&Thailand Golf Festival 2019 held the 4-week golf event from the end of January to February with more than 500 golfers, and we covered the 3rd H.I S. Golf Cup in Bangkok for the one of the events Festival held at the Bangpakong Riverside Country Club located about 60-minute drive from the city of Bangkok on Saturday, Feb. 23rd. Japan LPGA professional Kurumi Dohi and Asami Kikuchi joined the event as the special guests and showed off their beautiful shots at he Pro-Ama hole.

Golf Cup, has began with the objective of enjoying golf with everyone from the tourists to residents in Thailand”, celebrated its 3rd annual event by inviting about 100 golfers at the Bangpakong Riverside Country Club.

The tournament by the double-peoria-method had a lot of prizes for the winners such as the Bungkok-Japan round trip ticket from the Japan Airlines, the accommodation coupon and the dinner coupon by the famous hotel, and the dinner cruise coupon.

The participants could play with Kurumi and Asami who got in Bangkok a night before the event at the 10th hole. Even for the one hole they enjoyed the communications by conversations, taking pictures and lessons.

Asami enjoyed the moment for taking pictures with the participants and even their caddies.

The hit-the-green challenge was held at the par 3 3rd hole.

Mr. Kentaro Takemori won the event and said “I appreciate the tips from Dohi. Those lessons made me a champion”.

Born in Nagoya, Aichi prefecture in 1985. Passed the JLPGA pro-test and qualifying session in the fourth place in 2006. Made three top 10s at the JLPGA tournaments in 2007. In December 2015, she married with former baseball player and had first son Riku following year. Encouraging a lot of fans by having played the tornaments as a mother and professional golfer.

“I like the Thai golf course because the landscape is very beautiful and course maintenance is good. My tip to the golfers is that having a confidence to your caddie since it is tough to adjust the course as you just get in Thailand from Japan.”

Born in Tomakomai, Hokkaido in 1985. Passed the JLPGA pro-test in 2010 and have played the regular and the Step Up tour tournaments. Given her golf lessons based on the skills and the course management that she has captured in the tournaments at the “the Ace Golf Club Jimboucho” and “the Ace Golf Club Akasaka” presided by golf instructor Shinobu Ishii.

“I love Thai cuisine, and have them twice a week in Japan. Cilantro leaf and nam pla are my favorites. I think the golf course in Thailand has a large fairway and beautiful landscape”.
