“Tadaharu’s Fine Shot in Thailand” – Chiangmai Highlands Golf and Spa Resort
We’re finally here at Chiangmai Highlands Golf and Spa Resort! Only a 45-minute drive from the city, Asian Golf Awards 2015 awarded Thai’s finest resort with their “Best Golf Resort in Asia Pacific” (Top 3 in Asia) ranking. It also ranks among one of the best golf courses in Chiang Mai, making it a must when visiting Chiang Mai.
A total of 27 holes are available in 3 courses with 9 holes each – Valley Course (A), Highlands Course (B), and Mountain Course (C) – of which, course B is considered the toughest.
Another characteristic of the Chiangmai Highlands is its numerous bunkers. If you get caught in one, you might find yourself in a downward bunker-to-bunker spiral.
Another shot of bunker hell. The fairway bunkers are quite deep, so staying on par will get really hard if you drop into one of these. It’s not in Asia’s Top 3 for nothing.
This is where I would usually talk about the clubhouse and the villas, but since Yasuko has reported on this already, I’m just going to go ahead and introduce the long-awaited caddies.
And how could I leave out the food? The Tom Yum soup here wasn’t overly spicy. It was delicious, with just the right balance between sweet and sour from the lemon grass.
The Chiangmai Highlands Golf and Spa Resort provides the kind of views, courses, and hospitality that you just can’t find in Japan. I’d love for you to experience the bliss I felt at this extraordinary course.
One of the best resort courses in Thailand, where both the golf course and Tom Yum soup is hot n’ spicy!
